Story:
The governments have all collapsed and anarchy reigns, but it is quickly silenced by the flash in the sky of the supernova. The planet becomes irradiated, destroying all life on the surface - human and mechanical. Just before the flash, Commander Jeffers and his daughter manage to take cover in an abandoned secret military lab of a Mechanical outpost. After the flash, they no longer hear the screams and fighting, but Jeffers knows that going back to the irradiated surface is not an option for survival. He also knows they are running out of food and they won’t be able to last much longer. Tired and hungry, he begins to wonder if they would have been better off being destroyed in the flash or whether he is really good for Nara. As a last resort, he takes an experimental drug from the lab, knowing it will either kill him or change him forever.
lyrics
Lyrics:
Underneath this fortress ruin
All is lost, I assume
She sleeps so softly
I’m tired too, tired of me
She’d be better off alone
This lab can never be a home
I can’t take anymore
I’ve lost the will to rise from this floor
Want to sleep forevermore
This lab, the answer lies within
I take a whole syringe
Close my eyes, I cringe
I feel a change inside my chest, organs die
Suddenly a spark ignites the rest, burns away the past
The skin of failure melting off replaced, with metal from within it
My brain expanding with a shock, I feel like God for a minute
I rise from a pool of ash
She cowers in the back
My voice still familiar
She calms and wonders
